Research and Planning: Target Audience Questions (Music Magazine)
These are my questions for the music magazine target audience video.
- What three colours would you like to see on a rock music magazine?
- What bands would you expect to see on a rock music magazine?
- What would you like to read in a music magazine?
- What price would you expect a rock magazine to be?

Research and Planning: Music Magazine as of 24/11/14
This is my music magazine so far; since last time I have added a price at the bottom and added band names at the top who will be featured in that issue of the magazine. Overall there is not much progression since my last post, this is because there are other posts which need completing.
Research and Planning: Plans for the week 24/11/14
This week, I plan to do the following:
Continue producing my magazine
Produce one location recce and risk assessment
Continue producing my magazine
Start writing your double page spread story
Extra genre post
Produce a model headshots post
Begin completing the production documents from folder

Research and Planning: Sans Serif or Serif Font
The difference between the fonts 'Sans-serif' font and the 'Serif' font is that the Sans-serif font is easier on the eye as it doesn't have the serifs on the ends and it is more bold than the Serif font. The Sans Serif font could be used for my title while the Serif font could be used for my text.

Research and Planning: Comparison with my genre to another (Double page spread)
Both of these images are examples of double page spreads, the first image is from a rock magazine while the second magazine is from a pop magazine. There are noticeable differences between the two for example; while the rock magazine is based on factual information about the band and direct quotes based on the bands decisions, the pop magazine's double page spread has band members anecdotes which are a little less serious. The layouts are similar on both magazines as they don't seem to follow simple guidelines.
Research and Planning: Possible Double Page Spread Stories
For my double page spread, I could use the following different story ideas:
- Interview
- Top songs listing (With Description)
- Factual information about an artist
- Event/Festival
- Fashion
- New album
- New photo-shoot
These are a few examples of double page spreads from a rock magazine:

Research and Planning: DSLR Test Shots
The following images are DSLR test shots I have done to see how to get optimum results from my photos. In my opinion, the photos taken outside without flash are the best photos out of them all. However this can depend on the weather as photos will not be very good in the rain if you want a bright photo. Also, if it is very sunny when you want a dark photo it is alsa bad idea to take them outside.

Research and Planning: Model Looks for Magazine
From looking at these pictures, it seems that rock music artists usually wear casual clothing
(T shirts, Jeans, Jackets) however black clothing is most common. Also, I have noticed that all the models have a blank facial expression, this is common for rock music artists.
